I went into both my local stored and asked about Gravity Rush/Daze to see if they knew if it was going to be on Psn at launch but not one of the staff had heard of the title. In sorry but is that not there job to know stuff like that?
Yes it is, but considering its a digital only title, i wouldnt expect the information to be readily available in a store regardless of who it was, google is your friend, Gravity Rush is a launch title over here and only available Via PSN

They are all useless.
Theyve still got Unit 13 advertised in the shop as coming out on 22nd Feb and allowing people to pre-order it on the basis it will be ready with their vita.
But everyone knows it is not coming until March for god sake so anyone getting it with them will be p*ssed when they dont get it day one. Ive been in and said it aint coming out on the 22nd so why are they still saying it is and they just look at me bemused.

I was going to say something positive about my local Game/Gamestation stores but I have to admit the more I thought about it, some things bothered me about my experience.
For example one of the staff members at Gamestation admitted to "not playing on the demo/managers unit because he wants the experience to be fresh when he gets his own". I'm sorry but if you work in a game store that is unacceptable. The customers have a realistic expectation for you to know what you are talking about and so you should at LEAST have tried all the content on the demo unit - isn't that the whole point why each manager has a retail Vita in the store? Its not purely a perk of the job, its so that the staff have hands on experience of what they are trying to sell.
Also in Gamestation I was told by a member of staff that HE had been reading a lot online and that he heard PS2 games were coming to PS Vita. They really shouldn't be telling customers rumours IMO as many will assume it to be fact. I mean what forum was he looking at? I have spent the last week or so keeping an eye on THIS forum, the one which should be most trustworthy and every time that subject has come up its been bashed down as pure rumour so he should know better.
Someone asked while I was in store if the PS Vita had TV out and the response was "I don't know". Seriously? Has it not been confirmed for MONTHS that Vita does NOT have TV out? I mean sure, it might still be possible to add it later as we do not know what capabilities the extension port has, but the stock answer should be "NO". Game/Gamestation have the exclusive on the demo units so you have an expectation that they NEVER answer with "I don't know".
On the other side of the scale, at Game I was surprised to find a female member of staff who actually seemed really keen on Vita and had tried out the demo unit. She did direct me to the manager for specifics on the assumption that as he had been playing with a retail unit he had a better idea of what is what. Upon talking to him however I did not get the impression this was the case and he even admitted at having to call Sony to figure out how to hard reset the console when it crashed, surely this information is in the manual?
Admittedly some blame must lay on Sony as they should have made all these things perfectly clear before trusting Game as the voice of PS Vita. It certainly doesn't help that even us on this very forum are left in doubt as to what PSP games are going to work, so how can we expect Game to know answers to questions if Sony hasn't told anyone?
