I was really surprised by Golden Abyss, didn't expect much of it, but I'm a huge Uncharted fan so couldn't pass on it.
It's an amazing game, BUT it makes some of the same mistakes Drakes Fortune made.
I hope there is going to be a sequel for the Vita and that they work on some of these mistakes though! ![]()

Things like location, Drakes Fortune was criticised for it's location being JUST a jungle, it got fairly monotonous and so in Uncharted 2 they shook things up a bit (and even included what I think is the best level in the entire series... breaking into a museum).
And the forced gameplay gimmicks like six axis. Though I did like some of the things they did with the touch screen that was pretty good!
I also liked their mystery system.
So it had it's ups and downs just like any other game really.

It's pretty much on the same level as the the first game. The shooting is way better than UC3.
My only real probelm was the ''balancing on a beam'' parts. Used way to much. There isn't anything really cool, in the sense of, climbing the train in UC2.
I liked the kinda of QTE Touch screens bits. BUT!

first uncharted game i've played so i really loved it. however, it's now lead me to what to buy a PS3 which can't be too healthy lol. i want to play all of the uncharted's. does this story coincide with the rest or can you play all of them at different times?
You can play them all at different times. I think Golden Abyess takes place before Drakes Fortune. I'm not sure. Or maybe before UC1 & 2?
PS3 wise. None of the stories are linked. There might be a reference to some event you played out in a previous game, I'm not sure. If you do get a PS3. I'd say play them in order anyway. It's nice to see how much progression there is between UC1 & UC2.
