PS Vita: General Discussion

I cannot top up on the vita or the computer. It will not let me get passed the 1st screen, stating some details are missing (my card number comes up in red as incorrect but it is not?) also it says there is a technical issue

I'll say this, I had more luck once I used the "one-off" payment (left on the options screen) rather than "create an account".

I think the answer is:

Turn on Wifi to update firmware if you haven't already.

Update firmware.

Turn off Wifi.

Find "Network Operator" bubble on Vita

Change APN to Vodafone

Open browser, it should take you to Vodafone's sign up as there is no credit on the SIM.

Then leave the Vita alone and use a PC because the Vodafone website is AWFUL at the best of times.

Go to http://www.vodafone.co.uk/personal/mobile-internet/top-up-online/index.htm

Choose "Top up online" to make a one-off credit card top-up (or possibly use a voucher but DON'T try to set up an account as the website seems faulty; I tried on 4 different PCs, 3 browsers and Vita and it errored out each time)

Top up online, as mentioned, with credit card (maybe voucher - I've not tested, don't care to!)

Watch in wonder as your PSVita tells you you're all topped up.

That's what worked for me. Seem to be able to browse web over 3G now sooooo.... just waiting for WipeOut code...

I just managed to top up £5 on my first go....I cant however register for an online account due to error message "Some Business Exception has occured while processing registration/subscription"

But if I get my wipeout code Im not bothered as probably wont use Vodafone again.

Just topped up £5 for the second time, fingers crossed for a wipeout code!
I'm also getting the "some business" error when making an account.

yay! turned my vita back on after 30 mins and the sim was active, got my code, now just hope I get my game code through.
