why if not for game sharing proposes would anyone do this ? Why didn't he activate it on his own account ?
Possibly he is only 13 or 14 years old?... maybe... and didn't fully understand the stupidity of his actions... My initial assumption was they were sharing one legitametly bought physical copy of the game between two Vitas (and two accounts) and his mate got in first using the Online Pass...
I don't see why with issues surrounding single account restrictions, and content and trophies all tied in such a knot now with the Vita, making it effectively 1 Vita, 1 PSN account, 1 copy of the game all tied together, that someone would even bother with the trouble of trying to share digital content..... but then anything is possible if he is indeed legitimate..
It's not like the PS3 where you can load your mate's accounts on and download their content onto up to 5 different systems, like the old days...
Doesn't really matter anyway, lol... He hasn't been back online since those posts, and only posted in the first place to create this little thread, and likely won't even post again....

But you will get nothing returned from Sony because you admitted to inputting said code on friends account...it's hardly stealing...is it?

It's Not your friends fault or anyone else's the fault lays squarely with you, there was no reason whatsoever for you to activate a online pass on someone else's account for a game which you purchased .It clearly states that online passes can only be used on one account.Seeing as you were clearly game sharing it's no one else's fault but yours. If it means so much to you that you want a online pass then go and purchase one and in the future you won't be as stupid as you were by activating a online pass on someone else's account . Not a good week for the OP, I'm sure.
Doubt they will do that since game sharing and selling of games IS legal in most EU countries. The EULA has not legal stand point in court so it would be very costly for them to ban people breaking the EULA.
Not in Sony's world it isn't.We all sign up to the T and C's so basically we've sold our souls to the devil
But who on earth reads that s hite, right?

So next time you get all LA Law on my a s s.... make sure you KNOW what you're talking about
Sonys world does not matter if you would go to court about it.
The EULA you sign AFTER you bought the product holds NO value at all. It is just something the game developers and hardware developers has come up with the last couple of years.
Some of it would hold value if you are informed about your right BEFORE you buy the product and even then the EULA can never bypass any laws written.
A good example is digital software. It has always been legal to sell it. But the game manufacturers has limited it in the EULA and banned people for trying to sell it.
So now the Court of Justice of the European Union has stepped in and said what they are doing is wrong and that it is legal to sell digital software. And this is only the first step in setting the game industry in their right place.
And game sharing is legal in some of the EU countries like I stated before. But do not mix it with piracy! Piracy is when you illegaly distribute the game among random people. You are allowed to borrow a game to a friend.
Yes I do know what I'm talking about.

I never said it was ilegal.
When signing up to PSN you agreed not to do it with any digital downloads when signing the contract sony present you before giving you access to PSN.
Also only a idiot would share their login details to share digital content!

Well if you firmly stand by this............ gameshare. I'm perfectly happy for you to be a guinea pig
And start up a topic "Is gamesharing allowed?"
And how on earth would I expect to sell a digital copy linked to my PSN account..it's just not possible at the moment.
We are not talking about selling we are talking about Gamesharing!

Criminy! Most of this thread is personal abuse or argument about game sharing. Should be locked off, encased in concrete and dumped offshore. ![]()
