I was just about to make a topic about this.

I think it is an excellent idea because you have never been able to screenshot PS1 games on any console before, and I think its a really neat thing. I think if the vita is capable of it, it really shouldn't be disabled. It's added functionality to the Vita which makes it more appealing to me as a consumer. I'm not sure why it was disabled in the first place because people just take pictures with a mobile phone or something instead.

I guess you are able to take screenshots of few games.

You see I was recently able to download Tomb Raider IV: The last revelation.
When you hold down the touchscreen the psone settings menu appears There I have, only for this game so far, a 'Screenshot' option. When I press it, it askes me If I want to save the screenshot with a thumbnail underneath it. 

So yeah, there is a screenshot option but. only for a very few games.
