Doesnt help that Sony is currently selling the GTA PSP games as part of the Power sale. I was about to buy them and now im not sure if they will ever work on the vita and the deal will expire next week

Yeah, I bought the PSP games and I owned them on UMD

Just so everyone knows is that EVERY psp game will work on psvita. All you need to do is to copy them from your ps3 or media Go to the psvita. This list is just games that you can download from the PSvita.

By the sounds of things, GTA VCS works on the Vita.

Yeah, there seems to be a bit of confusion regarding this. I have seen an image on twitter of someone with all the GTA games on their Vita.

I guess that before Sony are willing to publicise compatibility, they QA everything first. GTA games probably take a lot longer to fully test than others...

We cannot make any assumptions as on the Japanese store it SPECIFICALLY says on many PSP titles "This content is not compatible with the PlayStation Vita system, and cannot be installed and played on the PlayStation Vita system.".

This is seriously weird though as the GTA games are some of the titles with that message on the store.  I wonder if it was a "glitch" that allowed someone to copy a game over that was not officially compatible but actually works, at least as far as they played so far?

As others have said, a lot of it will be testing if the emulator works for each title so there could very well be ones that in theory work but they do not officially endorse until QA has had time to make sure there are no game breaking bugs.
