As RotorHed said the game itself will work fine, Infact I have several North American games. The only thing is DLC won't work on a UK account, nor will the online pass so you won't be able to play online. So far the only games that come with an online pass are Sony first party games and EA games like FIFA.

Yep, as stated, if your ot bothered about playing the game online, then go for it! You can still get updates etc from the games home screen, just not the DLC/online gaming as BK has said here.
The Baseball isnt a title I will (or would have) played online anyways, so it hasnt affected me one jott! The game is a tough game and complex to play properly, so getting "bat"tered online against Yanks or Canadians who know the in's and out's of the game, isn't my idea of fun! haha.
Its a fantastic game tho! Very very impressed at what the Vita can do (even at this early stage of its life).

ive ordered my copy from planet axel for £25. as its shipped from europe theres no import duty. this game looks good and i am not bothered about online play.

That doesn't include shipping which is an additional £3. FYI, Videogamesplus is also a good site. Even though they are based in Canada you don't get charged import duty. I've been using them for almost 10 years now and have ordered several consoles as well as loads of games and accessories and never been charged duty. Granted it does cost £1.50 more from them but they are reliable and have a very good selection of games, accessories and consoles.

Yep, I have also ordered consoles off them i the past and 100% agree, brilliant company and 1st class customer service.
Hey BK, Go to Google Earth and check out 1068 Wilson Ave, Toronto!!! For such a reputable international online company, I think I was expecting a set up like ShopTo, but they are just a little store in a shopping arcade! HAHA. I guess that helps with the "personal" feel when you contact them.

Yes I've been to their shop before. I've got relatives in Toronto so have been there a few times. Yes they are basically a small independent games store but they have been around for a long time and are very good. They are very reliable and offer very good customer service.

Ordered this for the PS3 like I have done since the 09 version. I feel in love with this game because its so fantastic. Hands down best sports title across any format!
I bought a vita because of the cross saves, was too hard to resist. In the past on the PS3 it never came with an online pass but it was a laggy mess anyway because 99% of players were in the US. A game like baseball which relies on pinpoint precision was horrible with even the slightest lag. If the PS3 version comes with an online pass I'm assuming I will be able to activate it on my PS3 US account? I've also bought DLC this way in the past and bought a PSN voucher off Ebay to add funds to my US account.
Whole different ballgame on the Vita though because I can only have one active account? Like I said I'm not fussed about online because offline is so fantastic but would be a shame if I couldn't access the DLC on the Vita.

just because you have never been charged duty importing from outside europe. doesnt mean that you will never be.you are liable and the only reason that you havent been charged is because the shipper in toronto has lied on the invoice declaration. it can be a precarious game to play. i know its a standard con thats played a lot by exporters in hong kong. but if it works for you then its fine.

I'm well aware of how it works and why. What I don't need is lecturing from you on the matter. Please keep your opinions on this subject to your self. Where I choose to get my games stuff from and what I end up paying for it is my business.

Well my copy just arrived and I am gutted to find it has an online pass. One of the best features of the game is that the rosters are updated so frequently and now I cannot get the updates because of this stupid network pass - this has really taken the sheen off my purchase.
Been importing this for the last 4 years, not impressed!
**update** I stand corrected, it asks if you want to import the latest roster when you fire up the game, its only if you want to go through the network options manually you have problems - fanchise mode here I come - BEST GAME ON PS3!!!!
