Lol - not a very professional press release from Game. More like a sulky teenager hating the world hehe.

Sadly 50% hardware sales by game is likely to be not many consoles from what we know from other sources. That Game sold that many is of course because of the used trade-ins they do and the publishers HATE that industry.

Maybe Game should take some of its own advice and realise that it is soon going to be out of the new game business if it doesn't recognise that it cannot function without the support of publishers.

Game/Gamestation have nothing to do with the success of the Vita due to many more places stocking it and for cheaper as well.

The Vita would not crash and burn if they did not stock it.

This isn't surprising. Think about it. Many people would use GAME, as it's easy just to walk in & trade your old games/ console in for the Vita. Many people would also have points to spend. 

I bought mine at GAME. Mainly because I have a friend who works there, & just used his discount haha. 

Because of that discount, and a few game trade ins. I got a deal, that no one else would ever come close to matching.

This is the same GAME which a few weeks ago justified it's higher prices by stating that their customers are happy to pay a premium for that extra service only GAME provide

AKA "There are no American troops in Baghdad" or words to that effect
