I wonder what firmware the store managers Vita was running though, the one which DID crash and he said its done it a few times. Bearing in mind he said its an actual retail UK model. Mind you the two games I ran on his unit were fine, its just the lockup someone caused when launching a game that stood out.
As for the demo unit, I'm not sure if Ridge Racer was even a demo seeing as the FULL version only has 3 tracks and 5 cars, it would seem pointless to create a demo as it already is one. I guess it might not be up-to-date though especially as one or two of the games had Japanese text which makes it seem like they could be really old versions from before the Japanese launch rather than up-to-date patched European versions.

Yeah.. I've been told that the EU/US versions of Ridge Racer are supposedly different from the Japan release.. in that they contain alot more content. Namco Bandai have heard all of the fan's criticism & made huge adjustments.
The demo of Ridge Racer I tried on my local GameStation's demo unit was also a Japanese version.. so we've yet to see a full EU/US copy of the game. ![]()

Interesting if true, but I fear the damage may already be done unless they stamp in big letters on the cover how many tracks and cars it has so people can easily see its not 3/5.
It really did surprise me though as Sony wanted to do the same with GT5 orignally as I recall and they backed down after people told them where they could stick their DLC. ![]()
