Re: PS Vita Bargain Bin

Must be a misprice, its £37.97 on their site. However, if you see at that price on the shelves then tesco will probably honour the price

My god! I would buy every copy that they have in stock and then make a mint by selling them all on ebay :smileywink:

[ Edited ]

Link to Tesco online

Think they printed the ticket wrong as it's £37.97...  *edit* sorry, I missed the post above the picture

I think they must have missed the 3 off.

If you were in that store though they would HAVE to sell it to you at that price :smileyvery-happy:

no they dont

its a common mistake sort of an urban legend about stuff like this

legally until any money has changed hands no contract has been struck so they could just refuse to sell to you and change the price

You are indeed correct

You would just hope that you get a new member of staff at the till who has no clue as to their real value.

Some shops do honour their pricing mistakes though (rare but they do). A friend of mine was buying nappies that had been wrongly priced. It was a big pack and should have been about £25 and had something like a £5 price sticker. When she went to the till the shop assisstant said the price was wrong. My friend kicked up a real fuss and banged on about false advertising etc and then the supuervisor came over and told the assisstant to just sell them at the reduced price!

It was near closing time and I'm sure the staff just wanted to go home

Your right though. As soon as money has changed hands then that is the point that the contract between you and the shop is struck. Then there ir 'F' all they can do about it :smileywink:

Very true. In technical terms it's called an invitation to treat and the retailer is under no obligation to sell at the price advertised. This also applies to online retail. That said if the difference is marginal they will often oblige as a sign of faith and good customer service. I'm this case it's highly unlikely as the difference is quite significant. Even a new employee probably wouldn't unless when scanned in at the register it actually comes up at that price.
