PS Vita: General Discussion

Anyone know if/when there will be a vita magazine in the shops?

I haven't heard of anything. It may well happen once the Vita had a big enough market share. That said I gave up buying magazines several years ago as its a total waste of money. You can get all the information on the net now and it's far more up to date. Magazines are put together three months in advance and often the information is old news by the time they get published. In this day and age magazines are pointless in my opinion.

I may be wrong but I doubt there will be a specialist mag for it, most likely just part of the OP magazine

Can't see it happening myself since the 3DS has been out a lot longer and that doesn't have it's own mag.  The only magazine I buy is GamesTM, since they seem to cover all the major formats and I also like reading their retro sections.

I think the Official Playstation Magazine is the only magazine you will be able to get. If memory serves, there was an Official PSP magazine for a while but it didn't last for very long.

In Germany you can download a FREE PlayStation Vita eMAGAZINE called KRYSCHEN!

It’s optimized for your PS Vita so that you can read it on your device. Of Course it’s in german, but maybe there are some other guys who had the same idea…

Havent bought a games magazine for ages....Only buy Official PS magazine.

Not sure enough content could be made on a month by month basis anyway ?

last magazine I bought was ZZAP64...

and those early mags with the basic code to copy into your machine.


on another note. does anyone remember the code they used to broadcast over the radio for you to record on tape?
or did i make that up/ dream it?

Yes Future publishing are likely to Give it another go. When there is enough content to justify the seperate mag.

Official PS Mag was only published again because there was enough content to justify the re-release of the mag. Instead of having OPM2 which was PS2 based, OPM was re-published as an All in one mag and OPM2 was killed off. 

Mags have decined in readership numbers but there are still alot of users, who are OFLINE. Yes as silly as it may seam to us online users, Lots of PS Users are not Broadband enabled beyond School, Uni or Work usage... and most of those PCs will have content based filters.

Some people still like to have some thing to read on the toilet and also comes in handy for when the loo paper runs out. (yep the old joke of the mags are full of crap, is then literaly true.)
