I assumed Sony got stuck on April 1st... after the much requested and/or rumoured upgrades to the browser (ie to get the browser to actually function like a modern browser)  the 'update' is little more than pathetic. I managed to get it before it disappeared but I can't claim to be delighted.  Why is determining how much space I have on my memory card so unnecessarily convoluted? Yes, I know, it's a

 game machine but why include additional functionality and expect users to tolerate sub-standard software? 

When I purchased mine (from a leading mobile phone network...) I was told by the expert in the store that iPlayer for the BBC would be in the next couple of updates. Any hope?

Obviously the salesperson in the phone shop told you that purely to try and close the sale (to you) and at no point did their sales patter actually contain anything of a factual nature
