Sony are stabbing their loyal family customers in the back - We have 3 PS3s and 3 PSPs all on the same IP address and all registered with Sony. Why can't we use them at the same time anymore?

REASONS TO GET VITA:

-3ds 3D FUNCTION REALLY HURTS YOUR EYES (I HAVE PLAYED ONE)

-PSVITA HAS CONSOLE QUALITY GAMES (UNCHARTED, WIPEOUT)

-PS STORE HAS LOTS OF PSMINIS AKA SMALL GAMES THAT CAN BE REALLY ADDICTING AND THEY ALSO OFFER PSP GAMES, SO YOU CAN BUY PSVITA AND PSP AND HAVE THEM ALL ON ONE CONSOLE

-PSVITA IS BETTER AS I HAVE HAD A DS SINCE THEY FIRST CAME OUT (AND A GAMEBOY) BUT THE PSVITA IN TERMS OF GAMES AND SOFTWARE, IS A BIG STEP AHEAD OF NINTENDO

Happy??? hehe tried to make it short :smileyvery-happy: hope this helps m8!

Own both enjoy both.

As said befor look at the games then choose, don't go reeding into fanboy DRAMA.

We have had loads of people complaining about the lack of this and that for the Vita so have a big look at what games it has now and what is coming and same for the 3DS then you can make your choice on what suits you.

Buy a N-Gage :V

But seriously, as the others said. It's down to what you want to play, and I suppose what you are looking for in the system. Both sides have pros and cons, you just need to take a look and draw up a Vita vs 3DS XL chart.

Re: PS Vita or Nintendo 3ds XL

As I said to begin with, look at the games you fancy and see which system has more of them. I also ought to have mentioned that the Vita also plays a fair proportion of the PSP's back catalogue (those games that have been made available through the Vita's store) whereas the 3DS will play any DS games. Both have online stores with cheaper mini games available.

I have both, and I have PSP and DS. In all honesty, I prefer my Vita to my 3DS at the moment but it really does come down to the games I'm playing. 3DS's game catalogue is still a little disappointing, despite the length of time it's been out; the DS back catalogue, though, might be reason enough to get a 3DS (or indeed a DSi).

I have no problem (eye strain or otherwise) with the 3D graphics on the 3DS, but if I play the games in 2D, I hardly miss the extra dimension. That's a matter of taste, of course. If you can take the opportunity to try them both out, that would be a good thing.

I'm amused to note that there are far more people warning you that the thread might be biased by Vita fanboys that there are actual fanboy comments. :smileyhappy:

Re: PS Vita or Nintendo 3ds XL

3DS's fake 3D hurts most people's eyes so they turn it down making it a DS

still can't understand why the second screen is here as your attention is on the screen where the action takes place and it never hurt gameplay to have life bar or score on the same image as the one where action takes place

it's another gimmick/trinket

Re: PS Vita or Nintendo 3ds XL

The 3DS may hurt your eyes, at first.  That is because your eyes have to learn to cope with the 3D effect.

First week I had my 3DS I had eye strain and headaches.  Since then I have been fine and its the best 3D effect I have ever seen, including the cinema, because its more vibrant than any other 3D technology (due to the glasses).

Also I find the 3D makes a HUGE difference in Mario Kart and Starfox.  Particularly due to the 3DS screen being so low resolution you totally appreciate the extra depth perception.  Its just a shame they didn't go all out as qHD in 3D would have been seriously awesome.

On the other hand, the resolution/detail on the Vita makes a lot of games practical that would just suck on 3DS.

Like everyone else said, its all about the games.

I enjoy my 3DS mostly for multiplayer gaming at 3DS meetups, but the majority of the time I enjoy single player games on my Vita.

That said, I do still find myself wishing Gravity Rush was on PS3 as well as Vita, as that game would be awesome on the big screen.

Incidentally I am actually PRO the dual screen of the 3DS too.  One thing I HATE about Vita is how horribly greased up the screen gets from touching it all the time.  Even if I just washed my hands it still distorts the picture.  This is why the second screen on the 3DS is good, because if you want touch based controls its on its own screen so you aren't having to wipe the main display screen every 5 minutes.
