I agree.

I dont see PS3 as a competitor to the Vita.
Completely different consoles, completely different playable locations where you can / cant play with them.
Much higher graphics on the PS3, cheaper for groups of players to have a PS3 to have fun together.
Did the PSP stop PS2/PS3 sales? No. Why should the Vita.

The point of this thread though isnt talking about PS Vita vs PS3 in sales but more on how much time you will be spending on which one after the Vita release.
Saying that, why did they have to release Jak & Daxter HD Collection so close to the Vita Launch, it would have kept me busy till the release ![]()

The answer is still the same and my original comment still stands. First of all they two different types of consoles, one being a portable and the other one you use at home. The way you use them is going to be different. I realise some people will use the Vita at home. That said I think most will still use the PS3 just as much as they have been especially with so many AAA games still to be released for it. The Vita will primarily be their on the go console. I certainly won't be using my PS3 any less once I get my Vita. Hopefully a lot of games will support the "transfar" feature like with Warriors Lair where you can play the game on the go, save it to the cloud and continue playing it at home on the PS3.

to be fair i own both the 360 and ps3 and on ps3 ive played exclusives only and mostly singleplayer. Anything online i use 360 just because xbox live is so easy. However sony have made vast leaps forward with their network and to be honest i reckon PSVita is the future with all its online functionality. I pre-ordered as soon as i could the 3g because in the future i can see me using psvita almost exclusively. with hdmi out at a later stage maybe? it really would 'do everything'. Not bashing the ps3 however as i still use it as a fitness machine. 2 move controllers and move fitness game=beach body!

Hmm, for the last couple of months I've lost interest in my PS3, so hopefully when the Vita is released my interest will be reinvigorated. I rememeber when the PSP came out I stopped playing the PS2 and was on it constantly, to the point that holding the Dualshock 2 controller felt weird and unfamiliar! So similar to that, I think I will play the Vita much more than the PS3 not because its better than the PS3 but because it will be a new gizmo with games I've never played and also the Vita will be so easily accessible, play it wherever you want and whever - I'll probably be gaming in bed!
