PS Vita: General Discussion

Did I read somewhere that you can now download PS2 games onto the Vita or was I just thinking about something else ?Is it just through remote play ? Reason for asking is I won a PS2 game on Twitter and PS2 games on the PS3 on a HDTV look like garbage and I just don't have the energy to waste playing ancient bad looking games on my TV,, I also Won the MW3 DLC last week on Twitter so I'll be doing the Lotto tomorrow night and If I win I will buy Rangers FC and open a Tescos there.

Agreed. Sony already stated they have no plans to make PS2 games compatible with the Vita.

hd collections are possible but not any of the actual ps2 titles

Playstation suite (PSS) was planned as a PSone and PS2 converter kit for ALL Sony ARM CPU devices.

Aka Tablets, Phones, and PS Vita. 

If the Developers Still plan to do this is another question. PSS has been so long coming out of beta they may not want to do this after all.

All games from PSS will be ports with full bug testing before release.

The Vita does not have a tablet type HD pixel resolution display so does not need HD upscale for PS2 titles, only PSone graphics need upscale. 

PSS is needed because PSone and PS2 titles Failed to run in ARM CPU emulators correctly.

This is why playstation certified devices have not had the flood of PSone/PS2 games that was advertised pre PSS.
