PS Vita: General Discussion

Hey guys,

I'm new here, had my Vita since launch day and love it! There are a few things that just aren't good enough like the browser and contents manager but that's another thread and I'm sure been discussed by the members/users here.

Anyway to my query, I submitted a question to Playstaion via Twitter for Vita Livestream and today I got a direct message from Playstation @Playstation with a Resistance Vita code? So does anybody know what these codes are for and when they can be redeemed (I've tried) ?

Here's the Direct message (minus the code of coarse lol)...

Hey, remeber when your question got asked during the Vita Livestream? Well here's your Resistance Vita code: ____-____-____

So any advice, any other code winners/receivers??

It's dead easy to redeem a PSN code.

Just go to the PlayStation Store from your Vita's main menu, and once there, tap the little 'three dots' button in the lower right corner.

This pops up a menu, the first option of which is 'Redeem Codes'. Tap that and hopefully it should be obvious what you need to do from there.

Dude, please! I know how to redeem a code! If I type the code in it says not recognised??

Well, I wish you'd made that clearer.

It's possible, maybe, that the codes haven't been unlocked yet and will be unlocked when the game is officially released. Which is Friday 1st June in the UK.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking but my dilema is I need to know what the code redeems? I have pre-ordered Resistance from Gamestation and I'm not sure what the code entitles me to, when I submitted my question the chance to win a PS Vita game was mentioned so if that's the case I'll need to cancel my pre-order??

Oh what to do?

If it is indeed a free copy of the game then you won't be able to redeem it until Friday.

Yeah, you don't want to cancel your pre-order and then find out it's just a new unlock screen.

Codes are region-specific. If you're sure the code is for the right region.... Don't suppose the email promising the code has a meaningful return email address to ask a question?

You could try contacting Sony Customer Services to see if they can confirm the code and what it's for? I don't know if they can do this though, it's just a hypothesis.
