There is no reason why this ''superior'' new handheld, when compared to an ipod, iphone & 3DS, has a worse sifi signal. But this just my case. I'm sure there are just as many people who have no problems. But I really hope this is something that can be fixed. I don't want to sit in the hallway while playing Unit 13 in the future!

Even when I download things on it. It's fast. I have fibre optic. But the signal drops are seriously an issue. Fingers crossed for a fix sometime in the future. I've done everything I can do so far.

Yeah, my wireless connection is dire too. Everything else is near full signal but the PSV only gets about 20% strength tops.

Not sure why all of you are having problems. The Wi-Fi on my Vita is at full level all the time in the same room as my router as is my iPad 2, iPhone 4S, PSP Go and 3DS.

That is the complaint, that its not any good when NOT in the same room as the router.  Mine seems fine now since rebooting my router but again I AM in the same room as the router.

Same there.. The wifi on my Vita keeps dropping, it's very poor.. Sony better have an answer for this one..

Then mine must be a odd one as no matter where I go in the house, I can get a minium of 90%, but the majority of time it is 100% full.  This is on a Vita 3G, using the sky Black Netgear router.

I've noticed even when the connection cuts out. The Vita is reluctant to connect by itself even when I stand beside the router. I normally have to go through settings to connect manually. 

It connects fine when first switched on. Any chance ''sleep mode'' could be causing some problems, does it cut the wifi connection in sleep mode?

i have wifi issues with everything due to steels in part of the house i think :/ the vita gets the best reception of all of them since i restarted my router; btfon etc does seem to auto connect which is annoying as it's supposedly turned off on router settings......

You missed my point. I was saying its no different then my other devices. If it makes you feel any better I get full or close to anywhere in the house.

But you didn't say that it worked fine all around your house in your previous post. You didn't make a point of anything other than saying it works fine in the same room as your router. Unless I'm reading it wrong. I'd say everyone here gets a great connection in the same room as the router.
