Ps One Games Looming

As summer officially starts on the 22nd of June and Sony at E3 said Ps one classics will be summer, 22nd being this Friday and Friday usually being the day new games are usually released on maybe just maybe FF7 could be on my Vita on Friday???

Hope could be a good thing eh?

On PSN new games are released in a Wedenesday in Europe.

Also PS1 games are not new.

Summer could mean by Christmas from Sony

Sorry to burst ya bubble

Sony are stabbing their loyal family customers in the back - We have 3 PS3s and 3 PSPs all on the same IP address and all registered with Sony. Why can't we use them at the same time anymore?

Yeah, nice display of hoping there. :smileyhappy:

Of course, by the logic of 'official' summer dates, that could mean as late as mid-September. :smileysad:

LOL. Wishful thinking. I think you're expecting way too much and reading way too much into what Sony said. Summer is a pretty long period so the update could come anytime over the next few months. I doubt it's going to be this Friday.

Only SCEE know when Playstation mobile PS1 emulation will be released for PS Vita.

Also Be aware US releases DOES NOT mean EU releases.

As EU PS3/PSP owners Know only to well EU localisation Stops lots of titles releasing the same month as there US versions.

So if it released in US you are better of Expecting a delay to EU release.

Also Playstation Mobile Emulation is NOT the same as PS3 or PSP emulation so again don't expect the catalogue to mirror PS3 re-released PS1 titles.

Because of the Extra Coding work done you can also expect to Pay extra for these Re-encodes to Playstation mobile emulator.

I hope you are wrong as I see no good reason why the Vita emulator shouldn't be MORE compatible than the PSP one, not less.  It has beefier hardware to emulate with, it has the second analog stick.  If the Vita can emulate the PSP then emulating the PSone should be a breeze.

Also many people bought the Vita as it was implied that it would be compatible with most digital released titles that worked on the PSP.

I can appreciate that getting PSP games to work on the Vita is hard, as nobody has ever really done a PSP emulator before.  In fact, I didn't think the Vita was powerful enough to pull it off in software alone, I suspect it doesn't and there is a hardware element in the Vitas SoC that we do not know about.

However the PSone is old, phones 1/4 the power of the Vita can emulate a PSone entirely in software.  So there is no excuse.  My expectation is that at LEAST every PSone game that worked on the PSP should also work on the Vita, even though personally I have no interest in any of those games.

does this mean that all of the ps1 classics that i bought for the psp will not be compatible with the psvita?

because i have spent over £100's worth of ps1 classics over the years and i really want them all back on my vita.

also i agree about the expectations thing, i have been waiting for the spyro games to come out in the Eu since launch but alas they are all over in america but not even a wisper of them coming over here =[

also would'nt the emulator used for the vita be nearly the same with what they used in that sony mobile that played ps1 games as well the experia or something?
