Ps Vita and media go games?

Sorry if this has already been asked i couldnt find anything that dealt with this issue directly, basically i have all my psn psp games stored on my PC totaling around 20GB, now i dont have access to my PS3 and dont want to redownload all those games direct to the vita (lots are on the compatible list making this impossible anyway).

Can content manager access Media Go downloaded games?

Re: Ps Vita and media go games?

I'm not quite sure how these forums work or if replying will "bump" this post as I've basically just signed up to find an answer to this problem. If it does, I would like to draw attention to this issue as I've just purchased a PSP game on Media Go, stupidly assuming that it would work on the Vita. Content manager does not pick up the game file no matter where I put it, so I basically have a game sitting on my hard drive useless. I don't own a PS3 and I can't find an answer to this anywhere. The game was Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, and I know for a fact that Vita can play it, so that's not an answer. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Ps Vita and media go games?

It seems that downloaded games trough MediaGo cannot be transfered to a PS Vita, the games must be downloaded again via a PS3 or directly on the PS Vita.

Re: Ps Vita and media go games?

I appreciate you trying to help, but I've read this about 100 times, are you all robots or something?

Anyway, let me explain further. I don't own a PS3, so that's out of the question. It can't be downloaded directly onto the PSVita, because the game I purchased isn't on the UK Vita store, but is on the US Vita store. Since the Vita is not region locked, game compatibility is not the source of this problem.

The Vita does NOT work with Media Go.

You can buy PSP games on Media Go but not transfer them to the Vita.

Once you own a PSP game, you may be able to download that game direct to your Vita via the 'downloads' list available from the options button (...) on the Store. But this will only work if your Vita account is registered in the same region as the one you bought the PSP game from. Games are not region-locked but the online stores are.

If you bought the PSP game from the US store, you will need to activate the Vita with a US account and then you can go to your downloads section and see if it's available to download.

Re: Ps Vita and media go games?

If you want the game on your PS Vita You will need WiFi. Then you just sign in on the Vita to The PSN store andgo to the previous purchase section (forgot the exact name). Then you just download it to the Vita.

The reason you've heard this said 100 times before is because it's the correct answer and no amount of asking is going to change that.

Put simply you will have to use the US PSN account that you have to download the game you want via the Vita, and there's no guarantee that all 20GB of those games will be compatible with the Vita anyway.

The 275 games that are compatible apply to all regions.

Why is it stupid ? First of all you should have done your research before buying the Vita rather then whining and complaining after the fact. Sony made a conscious decision not to support Media Go on the Vita so it has absolutely nothing to do with making it compatible. They chose to go with the content manager which requires your PC/Mac or PS3 to be inline and limits the transfer capabilities between them and the Vita to try and avoid the piracy issues that affected the PSP so badly. Media Go isn't going to be made compatible with the Vita so you better get use to it.

Re: Ps Vita and media go games?

Does not need Media Go.

It has it's own inbuilt media management.

Many things you down loaded on PSP or PSPgo can be re-down loaded onto the Vita.

Many things that were not on the list is now and more to come.

Sony are stabbing their loyal family customers in the back - We have 3 PS3s and 3 PSPs all on the same IP address and all registered with Sony. Why can't we use them at the same time anymore?
