Well I don't know about skyhook, but in their site it says "the worldwide leader in location positioning, context and intelligence" and whenever I use it at home(and doesn't crash) it locates me in Santarem, 200 KM away from me, I laughed so hard on this especially when they said "the worldwide leader in location positioning...." Oh well

Well it seems sony doesn't care about the community, they even say they don't know anything about this, today my vita crashed with the exact same error as the japenese vitas in launch used to have, and googled that, and they only say it's an error, I mean are they playing dumb on us ? I also I bet the suppose update to fix this bug is just a cover up. I'm returning my PS vita system, I prefer to keep my money then have an expensive paper weight. Also today trying to connect to my new Wi fi hotspot it froze FIVE TIMES in a row! This is madness, not even acceptable

My thoughts on the subject are this, I bought my vita last week. It works fine when I have wifi available and the second I get to work (which has no wifi) it freezes... Mum has to be the word for ps3 because at this point with the vita they don't want to lose sales so they won't say anything, especially if they think they can fix the problem before they have to say they are making defective devices

When you say there is "no Wifi at work" - what exactly do you mean? Are you saying there are no Wifi signals at all (i.e. not from other buildings around the area) or that you have no accessible Wifi but there are other detectable wifi signals.

I think there is some BSSID compatibililty problem, but for that to be true there have to be Wifi signals - doesn't matter if you can access them or not. You can check this by leaving the Vita on "Ask to join networks" and it will bug you if there are joinable Wifi signals nearby.

Well but that doesn't help either, people will just get a refund of the console just like I did. Also as I said before, I bet sony is aware of this, and doesn't say anything it's because they did worst when vita came out in JAPAN (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/330136/ps-vita-freezes-touch-screen-problems-reported/) it had lots of freezing issues, and they launched a update the was supposed to fix the problem, might as well think of that update as a cover up to get sales in the rest of the world, also the sales on japan went down 95% just because of that

It says it all about Sony that they haven't bothered to take these concerns seriously. All they need to do is a simple Google search to see pages and pages of freezing issues ... and they are supposed to be a technology company.

My psv froze again after a long freezeless week.. I guess. And it was because of unit 13 demo. The problem lies in the wifi and/or some demos
