Why are you bumping this thread?
You'd surely get more attention if you bumped the thread that you already created in the Technical Help forums. ![]()

yeah, the community team monitor the boards, but that doesn't mean that they read every message assiduously... how could they? It would take up all of their time! I suggested the Tech boards which do get a bit more attention.
In any case, if the team have no solution and no information, they tend not to say anything. I guess they're discouraged from speculating.
I agree that some acknowledgement would be nice but again, I think you're more likely to get that in the Tech boards if you keep pushing the point.
Sounds like a firmware issue, which would mean it probably has to be fixed by the main Japanese teams and then tested to death, so don't expect a quick resolution.
(Oh, and I wasn't specifically addressing you, Tony, as you might have guessed.

As I said, I will say again, I'm 99% sure that this bug is the same as the first vita had when they released it on JAPAN, and they just released an update to cover this up, also what's the difference of posting it on tech ? No one will answer Anyways, also I already mailed and called them, they said, they never had a report about crashing vitas, they suggested a repair. For what ? I got my second vita, with the exact same issue, searched around the internet, tons of people have this issues(all regions). Not a single answer from Sony. I'm glad I returned the console in time to get my money back, to have an expensive paperweight might as well get a rock that weighs more than 300 grams, If I had knowledge of this issue before buying I wouldn't have bought VITA in the first place.
Oh and don't come with the thing it's normal for new hardware when released to have issues, I never saw/had a console(that I bought on day one, and they were a few) with bugs that would make the console unplayable, also they had 3 months to fix this damn bug, didn't do anything, alright they can keep my VITA and get my money back, also there's a reason for the sales have dropped 68% from 1st week to 2nd.
edit: At least what they could say, we are acknowledge of this bug and we are trying to fix it, I guess they aren't saying anything so the sales won't drop anymore.

I doubdt that, also people can just get a refund, they would loose sales, also I'm pretty sure they are more worried about the HLB that would allow people to run homebrews from psp, then yes they will fix it.

I suggested that the Tech boards are a better place to raise issues because the thread-bumping looked like an attempt to elicit some sort of official response; the Tech boards are more likely to be read thoroughly by the comunity team's tech guys. That's all.
Also, if issues and problems are concentrated in one place, it's more likely that someone can connect various similar problems to identify a single specific nasty.
As it is, it sounds like the issues you're having are not shared by the majority of users, which makes it harder to pinpoint a problem. Personally, I've never experienced a freeze from my console. It seems to point to an environmental feature, perhaps related to wi-fi. Is the issue related to that apparently identified with AV senders?

It appears you have not read my answer, I called sony and mailled them, they had no answer, they had this issue before in Japan whatsoever they denie it! If they don't know the answer how would they do in this forum ? And this issue IS SHARED BY TONS OF USERS, just google and choose it to appear results from february and behond(This without counting the JAPAN issues) and when I got a refund of my 2nd vita they said they had lots of complains because of this . Also some in the forum suggested to have the vita always on Plane mode, for that might as well SONY sell a vita without internet connection. Also I traded my 1st vita because of this issue, the 2nd has it too, my friends have the same issues too, so this appears to be a issue on all vitas... This only happens when no wifi spots are arround and only some times, I don't know what causes it, and when it starts crashing it crashes like 5 times in a row, it doesn't even connect to my new wifi hotspot.
edit: Also sony isn't giving a damn to this issue because they are worried because of piracy and because of the vita being already exploited with HBL, if they were smart they would do like Nintendo, look at them, they don't seem to be in crisis, a recent news on n4g told how much money they had, and they had enough money to loose till 2045, and they don't do almost anything agaisnt piracy, they still sell their consoles.
All of this happen when SONY removed the OtherOS on the ps3, the private keys were released they were in big trouble, lost tons of money, improving their whole security system. This because of a guy that had the wonderfull ideia of removing the otherOS and the suppose random number to generate they key was always the same. If you want call me hater, as I always say haters gonna hate, I just think sony is failling right now, it was a good company, that's true but now they are just awful.
