PS Vita: General Discussion

Well so I got my ps vita, and I really love it, besides the web browser I think it's awesome but one thing that keeps annoying me is the freezing. I am not sure if this is true or not. But every time I turn on my ps vita and there are no hotspots detected the vita will crash in less than one minute, and I have to hard reboot the vita going to the recovery menu and click restart and when this happens some times it even crashes while raeding the game.

This has happened to me twice this evening. I am uncertain as to the exact problem.

I was playing Dynasty Warriors on both occasions and I lost the sound at some point but the game continued to play, then the enemies no longer had red bars above them, and then the game froze. I know that on one of the two occasions (possibly the second as well) the wifi dropped out on my router.

Anyone else suffering the same issue? (It's really annoying as both times it occurred I was in the enemy base with less than 50 people left to kill :/ )

Try putting it airplane mode and see if problem persists.

Well that is the same as disabeling the wi-fi why would I want a PS vita with no WI FI connection ? And in my case only happened with WI FI online

Um, it's to see if the thing keeps crashing with no Wifi as you imply.... ever heard of reasoning? It's not just something you chuck in a casserole.

Well so far I hadn't the change to go to a place where there was no wifi(again) so till there I can't confirm anything.

Ok the VITA freezed again, this time I was home connected to the WI-FI and it frooze when near was retrieving my location

And one more freeze using Near called Sony they don't know what it is

mine freezes whenever I use maps or near too.. unless I disable wifi and go 3G only.

my wifi only unit sometimes freezes when switching flight mode on and off. Wifi connectivity on these units is really hit and miss. Sony need to address this with a firmware update!!!

 Also getting this error alot (c1-2650-3) when connecting with wifi to playstation network/internet. It seems to be connected with a wifi connection issue. Connection keeps dropping. causes unit to freeze sometimes.

Switching flight mode on and off sometimes causes freezing too.
