Question about Wipeout US version

I have the chance to buy a US sealed copy of Wipeout. Not too bothered about multiplayer but i have a UK PSN account and a UK PS3 and Vita. Wipeout HD and Fury are coming as free dlc soon but would i be able to get them on my Vita if the game is US? I already have the wipeout games on my PS3 but i heard DLC only works on the region that matches your account so a US games cannot download DLC through a UK account? Anyone able to clarify this?

So to clarify. I couldnt get the DLC even though i have the two Wipeout games on my PS3 and the game on my Vita, because the game is US? I presume the online pass wouldn't work either? Thanks for the quick reply by the way.

Yes the DLC as well as the online pass are region and account specific so what you propose won't work.
