So pretty much the #1 reason for me buying a Vita was for remote play with PS3 games. Just got home and my backlog of around 50 games, will not work with remote play. When will this HUGE feature work?

The feature is pretty much useless without the ability to play PS3 games, that and the slow connection, I have fast internet and even I was getting serious lag problems.

so wait, if the developers can make a decision about whether to create games that are compatible with PS vita. Cant they do an update for a game, such as Call Of Duty, to enable the useage of Vita's on the system?

It was stated by sony and it's also in their business model, which was made public back in 2011, that they plan to release an update that will enable remote play for most games. At this time remote play is no longer on the developer side it's all dependant on Sony patching the PS3 firmware to make PS3 games compatible with remote play. That's why you see people with CFW on their PS3 can play many big titles via remote play because their system has been patched via hacking.

the option is available to developers to patch their games independantly, but sony could flip the switch on all of them if they chose to.
However imho it would be a huge mistake for sony to do so, as people trying to play online ps3 games on vita via remote play would ruin the experiance for for the rest of the players (lag spikes etc), imo they should allow it for the single player portion of ps3 games only.
