PS Vita: General Discussion

Please mods do not move this to the PSP forum as this is pretty much about the Vita!!!!

I have 2 PSP's an original phat 1000 model and a blue 3000 model. Now if am being totally honest I have not touched my PSP in ages. Other than downloading the free welcome back games. I understand the Vita is compatible with the digital PSP games (from the store). I have 5 UMD games most are pretty old. God Of War Chain Of Olympus, Motorstorm Artic Edge, Pro Evolution Soccer 5, Socom Fire Team Bravo and Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker (getting this on PS3).

I am in totally different minds. A part of me is saying don't sell it you will regret it and its to early. The other part is saying no other games coming out that interest you and you get more trade in value if I trade in now. I won't be selling it on ebay because I know I will spend the money before the vita comes out. So I think getting a gift card is the best choice.

Edit: HMV (going by there Android App) give £113 for my 3000, God of War. Metal Gear Solid, Motorstorm, Pro Evolution Soccer 5, Socom and Mortal Kombat for PS3 witch is not to bad. Considering I only had to pay £20 for my 3000 (long story) and all the games I have where presents except for Pro evo what cost me £1.

Doesn't sound like a bad price for a 3000, I think I paid about £90 for mine a while back. Trade ins will drop though when the new one is released, if they haven't done already.

Am thinking of trading in the 3000 tomorrow with the UMD games. Get gamestation to price match HMV so I will then have £114 credit. So I have 6 or so months to build up £100+ more for the Vita. I will keep the 1000 for my digital games and PSone games. Then a month or so before the Vita comes out I will trade it in or sell it on ebay. I should get at least £30 for it.

Traded it in today £110 plus a few pound on my elite card. Pre ordered Vita wile I was there.

Im hanging on to my PSP 1000 and PSP Go as i never trade in my consoles there my pride and joy, in 30 years or so being able to go back and play some of those awsome memories its an experience.

my advice is sell your 1000 model keep the 3000 you wont lose anything because the the game saves and downloaded stuff is on the memory stick . now about your games if you can defiantly say your getting the mgs remastered versions then sell peace walker, for god of war the devs are going to release a remastered version of chains of olympus and ghost of sparta for the ps3 only. its your choice if you want to keep the umd version of chains of olympus. for your other games its your choice if you want to keep them too

Thanks for the advice.

But I traded them all in last week and kept the 1000. Got a good price for it all as well. The reason I kept the 1000 was because it still plays the games I got from the store. Plus I got more the 3000 and if I would of left it closer to the time I would of got less for the 3000. I only really got the 3000 for skype but I have that on my phone now.
