Ive got two questions to ask
1.How many hours can the vitas battery last with skype in standby?
2.can i keep the vita plugged in with skype on (in standby) without damaging it internally

Skype seems to REALLY kill my vita's battery, I would say from about 8hrs I normally get, doing a bit of gaming / standby. It would cut it down to around 5hrs. I will actually have to test it.

You can keep it plugged in without any worries at all. It may warm up a little but thats about it.

thanks i would recommend you still test skypes approx life though

Just did a full test. With running ONLY skype from start to when the vita just shut down from no power it took just under 6hrs for the battery to die. Not too bad considering its about 8/9hrs on standby without anything, but it is still a fair chunk out of that.
