Yet another reason not to trust PSN downloadable games. If you buy a game cartridge Sony can't yank your game just because of a real or imaginary threat from eeevl hackers.
I got burned by Sony discontinuing their comic store, and my pretty sizable digital comic collection is now collecting digital dust, and I have no way of viewing them anymore. Never again.
And before the Sony apologists march in: the fact that Vita uses proprietary memory cards which cost lots of €€€ compared to perfectly adequate alternatives (SD, for example) makes keeping all games on the Vita very expensive.
Yes, you can download games to your PS3 and save them there, but not everyone does that, and what happens when your HDD fries, or you upgrade to a new PS3 or new HDD, and you need to re-download the games? No Arctic Edge for you.
It's a really good game, btw. RC is keeping my busy these days, though.

You can't still view these on the PSP? I thought mine was working a few weeks ago when I played with it....
As for Arctic Edge, Sony can patch the exploit and put it back up. In fact I imagine they will do this if enough people ask for it, but since no one bought it maybe they won't bother....

I sold my PSPgo when Vita came out, and since there's no comic viewer for Vita, PC or PS3, I have useless backup files.

Well that was rather foolish if you wanted to be able to access those files. At least you can pick up a PSP cheap right now and get all those comics back.
I don't think Sony ever committed to putting the comic reader on any other device, but there may be some movement in future on that :

Blame the hackers all you want but if Sony allowed homebrew then this wouldn't happen. The PS3 proved that point as it only got properly hacked when Sony pulled the Other OS (aka homebrew) ability.
The only reason they had to pull Other OS on PS3 is because Sony in their infinite wisdom made Other OS too restrictive, not allowing access to the graphics acceleration and so making it fairly pointless which pushed the hackers to try to get round the limitations. If they had not locked it down quite so tight then there would be far less motivation to hack the thing.
The people who hack for homebrew are not usually the same people who hack for piracy. The pirates wait for the homebrew hackers to reveal the explots first and then work from there. If Sony made a proper effort to lock down the system without locking people out of the features that make homebrew worthwhile (access to all the CPU and GPU power) then piracy would still be hard without locking out homebrew. The more they lock it down, the harder people will try to bypass it.
Its already been said that even WITH the hacks, the PS3 would still have been piracy proof if Sony had not done the silly thing of using the same encryption key for all games when it was supposed to be random.
I for one am in full support of homebrew as it puts pressure on the companies to not keep charging us to play the same games on a new system. Plus there are a few old Amiga games I would just KILL to play on PS Vita and they will never ever be published again because of copyright issues. So there are perfectly legitimate reasons for homebrew beyond piracy. Its just a shame Sony continue to fight the hackers rather than work with them to provide a piracy-free environment to run homebrew in.

Specious argument. PC = open to homebrew, most cheap and free software, and it's also the platform with the highest levels of Piracy.
Homebrew on console = piracy enablement at best.
Not only that, but I've yet to see a single piece of genuinely original homebrew on a console that was in any way valuable or worthwhile.
Still, with PS Suite, everyone will be able to write their own apps legally, so hacking will go away, right?
