Re: Stuck / dead pixel / s

I had better not get any dead pixels on my vita.

I had such problems with the PSP last time. My first PSP had no less than 9 dead pixels it was horrible.

It looks like the Vita wont have as much of problem

It's the worst case scenario though - the picture shows a black background on one of the Home pages (which is not a default setting - personally all mine are customised wallpaper pages) and of course it's a static screen.

Doesn't make it right/good or anything, just pointing out that in practice you are unlikely to notice it.

Rotor.

Of course it's possible.

@TalllPAul

Yea you probably Will see it on 17 inch monitor viewing the picture but on the 5 inch PS Vita screen it will be really small and hardly noticeable once your playing games/movies as longs as the background is not completely black.

Re: Stuck / dead pixel / s

Today I phoned the store from where I have pre-ordered my Vita to enquire about their dead/stuck pixel policy. At first they told me that unless it has like 3 dead pixels or more, they wouldn't replace it. I answered that I do not accept this and wanted a refund. They said they cannot give me a refund, just a store voucher. I told them that in the past I bought a Nintendo DS (this is true) and when I found it had a stuck pixel, I contacted Nintendo and got it replaced free of charge. I asked the guy if he would be a brand new car knowing that "it may have up to 3 dents".

Eventually they agreed to let me test the PS Vita in store and give me another one if it has a dead or stuck pixel.

The store chain I usually buy stuff has a 30 day return policy, "no questions asked". If you're not happy with your product you return it. How about that? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elkjøp

can't get that link working. Jesus. Just copy the whole thing.

Re: Stuck / dead pixel / s

That is awesome. No store would do that here.... otherwise they would end up getting 95% of the stuff returned everytime a holiday period is over :manvery-happy:
