Your PC must definately be connected to the Internet for the Content Manager to work. I am not sure about PS3 but I guess it must also be online. I am not bothered by that at all. I am always online anyway...
Like you I'm allways connected online but assumed content manager would work offline...! I may stand corrected. Seems a little bit odd. I understand you have to be online to download the content manager to your PC and have allways been online when using my PC but I have only used the content manager once on the PS3 but was online at the time come to think of it. Like you I haven't tried it when offline. I'll try tomorrow out of interest.

Ok so i have had my Vita for a month now and i am suprised no one is complaining about the pixelation on the screen and games.
The home screen icons itself look so pixelated. The games itself, i mean even uncharted abyss the game sony released first it is really pixelated when u see the walls when he is climbing or the sorrounding forest itself when u go near it is so pixelated. Asphalt 5 is a joke again pixelated like crazy, u will forget it when driving but trust me it will annoy u. Fifa 12 not upto the mark, MK same issues, even Unit 13. These are the games i own. The amount of money i have spent is Ridonkulous.
I know i sound negative, but isn't Sony like making games and consoles from like ages. I mean even before most of us where born. Ok just to justify my reivew on vita i guess, Lets compare it to a samsung galaxy s2 - android os, which i own. Have u played Asphalt 6 HD on SGS2. Vita will be put to shame. How about Modern Comabt 3 HD, this month end Nova 3 is being released too on Android, i am sure it is going to be the most donwloaded game, check trailer on youtube.
These are games we can own for around 5$ or less, Compared to Vita i mean i am in Asia it is a joke over here, 40 - 50$ per game donwloadable or vita card doesnt matter. Nothing is compatible with Vita, the psp games most are so pixelated i got Street fighter and it is not at all worth 10$ even Nova 2 for PSP, is , i have this on my sgs2, why cant gameloft port these games properly for the PSP and VITA. Do you know that here in Asia where i come from the price of a VITA is 400$ for wifi and 500$ for 3g, just being ripped of man.Why the hell we have to pay so much more than other regions i dont understand.
Not only that here i did not know this but VITA cant even be reapired here, if there is a real issues in software or Mostly in the Hardware then only Sony Asia will replace ur Vita, they will not repair the VITA. So say for example my screen breaks or is badly scracthed, there is a very high chance of Sony not replacing ur VITA on any excuse they like. I have seen the serivce here in Asia it is pathetic, did u know that the oled screen is infused with the front plastic body of the vita. The whole body of the vita is plastic which can be scracthed up easily, mine is completely scracthed up. SO say urs get scracthed up and u tell sony u wanna change it, how can they, they will have to rip apart the screen from the body and then infuse or whatever again with a new body and there are chances that the front and back body might not sit together perfectly. Just google dismantling VITA and u know what i am talking about.
OK i understand Flash doesnt work becuase Adobe has stopped making Flash. Have they gone mad i dont know. I mean atleast a courtesy email to there customers which is probably trhe whole world saying that we are stopping Flash. They are moving to HTML 5, ok so forget them. Why cant sony work on HTML 5 asap. I mean they say they are really happy with VITA sales then make ur customers happy too.
What about the Black sploges on the screen on Dark Frames, i man on very dark screens u will see black spots all over the VITA, crazy man. We need updates to fix all this. Near and Maps does not work on Wifi, always some or the errors, never shown my location.
The memory card 32 gb in Asia where i live costs 200$ can u believe it man. What is this that Sony is doing to us. I mean have they confused our 3rd world country to be USA or Europe or something. I am not even kidding i have spent a 1000$ in total on my VITA till now with all the games, Vita Travel Case, Zagg Invisible Full Body Screen Protector for VITA, Memory Card , and PSN dwonloaded stuff. Wow like i am so broke man.Should have got a Ps3. What about TV out, PS3 controller connection with Bluetooth so we can hook up to a tv and play with a controller.
Anyways i want to know what u guys think, see be a VITA fan i am too, i am waiting for games like resistance burning skies. But for the investment till now, until all and i mean all the issues are not worked out how can we be satified customers. These arew things all electronic devices are doing so why not the VITA. we also need crazy amount of apps please.

Hi viju2012.
I was very surprised about the price of the console in Asia. I did a check and in Vietnam the Vita is about 7795000 VND which is about 375$. Whaooo. That’s about 4 month of labour, knowing that over there most people earn less than a 100$/month! THAT’S EXPENCIVE!
So I can understand the frustration!
It is known that some PSV OLED screens show some “ink like spots” when showing black or dark scenes. This is only seen when contrast is on minimum and you find yourself in a pitch-dark environment. If seen outside these conditions … then you need to CHANGE your Vita for warranty.
I’m sorry but I can’t compare my Vita visuals quality with that of a Galaxy Tab, because I simply don’t own one (It was, or or and not, and and … it stays pricey, even here in Europe).
But the graphical engine of the Vita is very fluent, which I doubt for the Galaxy Tab … + the Vita is only in the beginning of its game development. Don’t confuse game commercial management history with game programming!
Every new console has its own program to pilot the motherboard, chipset etc! Programming a game for a PSP, PS3 or PSV OR even a Galaxy Tab is different for each machine. And programmers need to learn every time again, for a new console, to get the maximum out of the processors.
Ex. look at the graphics of the 1st PS3 games compared with now (take Uncharted 1 and 3). And if you’ve seen the Quantic Dream's "Kara" PS3 Tech Demo (which turns on PS3), you’ll understand that even the PS3 is not on its MAX jet! So give the Vita a bit time … lots of games are coming and the marketing plan is to release 2 to 3 games a month. (Know as well, that the PS VITA is designed for the upcoming PS4. So slicker graphics will come)!
For the HTML5, we all hope that Sony will do what is necessarily.
Hope to have comforted you a bit ;-)

hello i just bought a new vita for me..
i would like to suggest a quick on/off switch on the quick setting while holing the PS button, for the wifi and bluetooth just like an android phone :-D instead of going through settings then manually pressing connect..
PIN for the email client. for example.. what if someone borrows your vita and asks you to unlock it and then that person secretly accessed your email messing your personal stuff..

Ok for the PS Vita I think its impressive. But I think there are a few improvment that should be adde.
1: The ability to change you home screen on the browser to whatever website you like.
2: add folders for apps and the ability to name them.
3: Games like modern combat 3 and 4, dead trigger, dead space, shadowgun, stuff like that.
4: notifications for anything that you received, updates, facebook messages and the likes.
5: the ability to unlock sims on the 3g version since we paid for the system. And use what ever phone service we like. then maybe you would sell more of these version.
6: Crackle app for free movies.
7: and I would like it if you came make it were you can use the rear touchpad to move the screen while browsing the net instead of just scrolling. That would be nice.
8: and more customizable settings to the users liking. So people do have to post these things.
But other then that I like it.

2: add folders for apps and the ability to name them.Needed desperatly and not just for crapps
3: Games like modern combat 3 and 4, dead trigger, dead space, shadowgun, stuff like that. More COD no thanks
but yeah more big name games
4: notifications for anything that you received, updates, facebook messages and the likes.Handy I guess for those who use the crapps on Vita
5: the ability to unlock sims on the 3g version since we paid for the system. And use what ever phone service we like. then maybe you would sell more of these version. You can on the UK 3G and I am sure you can on other Euro version. (this being the euro forum)
6: Crackle app for free movies.Crackle is crap IMO
7: and I would like it if you came make it were you can use the rear touchpad to move the screen while browsing the net instead of just scrolling. That would be nice. Don't use the browser would delete it if I could but makes sence for those who do
8: and more customizable settings to the users liking. So people do have to post these things.like what
But other then that I like it.
