PS Vita: General Discussion

Sony has released a new patch for Uncharted Golden Abyss on the PS Vita, meaning that you’ll no longer be disconnected from PSN during play.

Here’s the changelog:

• Black Market Trade Frequency Increased
• Black Market Menu Changes
• Difficulty Tuning for Crushing Mode
• Stats will no longer Reset
• Network will no longer be disconnected during gameplay
• Improved Trophy Verification

So all those people who want even less time from the battery life whilst playing can now have it

I wonder what they mean by Difficulty Tuning for Crushing Mode. Are they going to make it easier or harder? When I completed it on Crushing it was not very hard imo.

They made it a bit easier on some parts. For example, the part where Drake and Chase have to flee for Guerro and his soldiers (afterwards they jump in the river) is now a bit easier. Or I was just having luck

I dislike the:

 *Network will no longer be disconnected during gameplay

as I hate it when you are deep into a gun battle and suddenly... Ping "[insert name] is now online" pops up and distracts you 

They should make this an option to switch on or off in the options menu if you ask me.

Good update apart from that though

...and as Crusty pointed out this will be terrible for the battery life

I think you can turn it off?:

-Settings
-Start
-Sound & Display
-Uncheck 'Notification Alert'

I see some people complaining about battery life due to the network being on. I don't see how that can be a problem when you can just turn off network settings. 

I have platted the game. The first time I played the game I had no problem with the netword being disabled. It wasnt until my second and third play through that I realised I wouldnt mind being in a party chat but because the network was disabled I couldnt talk to no one.

I know you can switch it off but that switches off notifications for when you get a trophy as well which I don't want to do! 

imo the notifications on/off settings should be a series of tick boxes for each sort of notification.

eg:

*[insert name] is online

*you have messages

*trophy alert

you get the picture but cheers for trying to help anyway
