Today, a new update came to the PlayStation Vita which bought the following features..

• improves system software stability

How does the Maps app work?

same as kermit, are the maps cached or fully loaded onto the vita already!? for those with wifi who wont have continuous access to data...

It seems to use the google maps interface (minus street view) so it's using wifi to bring up the maps.

Great. What happens if where you want to go is nowhere near a wifi hotspot?

I guess that's where the 3G model comes in handy!

Just had a quick mess around on the maps app and I have to say it's pretty bad. Really slow and choppy.

i have to agree the maps are really bad even on a wifi connection, couldnt use on a 3g connection
