Vita games on multiple devices... I'm confused.

Hi! I've heard that Vita games are restricted to only allowing trophies to unlock on 1 Vita. Me and brother were really looking to buying a ps vita each, however I'm worried now, do we have to purchase the same game each? Or do Vita work normally like PS3?

You're supposed to buy the game each really. Gamesharing is a no-no, even in the same household. It's still 2 separate people.

Thanks for the reply. It's not illegal so you may frown upon it but there's no law being broken... I take it the answer is no? Shame I loved my PSP, but paying for two copies is costly, Uncharted will cost us £80 then.

you can both play the game, however you need to reset the card. The idea is similiar to the PS3 in which you cannot unlock trophies with another person's save.

Same here, you just reset the card thus wiping the save file and you can play it again. Just means that you and your brother will have to play a game each then swap. :smileyhappy:

Hope that helps.

Gamesharing IS illegal. It's piracy. I'm sure you're allowed to download a game 5 times like the others, but I don't condone you do it.

Also, I'm pretty sure the PS Vita games will have Online Pass' too. Someone will have to confirm this for me, so you'd have to pay out for another pass anyway if you wanted to gameshare. :smileyindifferent:

If you buy the game at retail you can just reset the cartridge and your brother will be able to unlock trophies. Not sure on psn download's tho

I think he meant downloading the game from the PSN Store and then downloading it again to his brothers PS Vita.

Well, GameSharing in the sense he's talking about, letting another Vita in the household use the same cartridge is totally legal.

OK. It sounded like he wanted to download it twice from the PSN Store. Apologies.
