Tretton was just on at E3 again and said that Japan wil launch first and then it will be rolled out in all regions before the end of the Fiscal Year which usually ends in April, so are the EU getting to wait until last AGAIN? YAY.

Pretty sure they said 'holiday period' which should mean any time before christmas, so im hopeful we'll get it before the start of 2012

They did say holiday period but today they said, all regions by end of fiscal year, usually is the EU that gets things last.

ahh i see, i hope that is not the case but knowing sony we will most likely be the last to get vita and at a higher price

I can see his point though as they are putting coustomers in mind so when it is out many people can purchase this.

If its out next year they will miss lots of sales, needs to be before.

They would need to get it out before Christmas if they wanted the most sales.   

No doubt the EU will be last to get Vita.

Yeah, if they wait until 2012 they will miss the Christmas sales. The 3DS will get the target market and Sony will lose out big time. Even they should know that.

I think Europe will get this in March 2012, so they have a chance to rebuild stock.

If we do get it last I would like to see a good will program like the Go had. Even if it's one game for free from a choice of three, for example.

I don't think launching the console post christmas will be damaging, if people, like us seriously want a Vita, we'll wait for it, we'll be miffed, but we'll wait.

Those who are on the fence about the Vita may pick up a 3DS, but may trade it instantly for the Vita when it launches, I saw that happen with the PS3 when that launched. The problem the 3DS has at the moment though is that some people just don't understand the 3D aspect of the console, until they see the 3D they don't get it, and even then they still see it as a gimmick.

It's just been posted on the Irish Gamestop website that the Vita will be released in September. A poster on an Irish forum went into the store to ask and the guy behind the counter said it was true. Here's the link?
