Alright, so my PS VITA will turn on when I press the power button for 5 seconds, but it only goes to the Sony logo and then it cuts out like an old TV. I've let it charge until the orange light dissapeared, and it's still doing it. Is there any insight as how to fix this? And to answer some questions, no its not Blue Light of Death, I don't think the charging unit is broke or the orange light would never dissapear and I would be able to use it with the charger, and recovery menu is not an option, as it takes me to Sony logo then resets. Help please, as I want to enjoy my VITA.

Sounds broken to me. See if it will turn on with no memory card and no game card inserted and if it won't turn on or go to the recovery menu then I think you need a replacement.

hold the power button for 30 seconds to hard reset it, if that doesn't work you should think about sending it to sony or into your nearest sony store to see if you can get it fixed under warrenty.
EDIT: done some searching on google and if this doesnt work after trying all the reset option then its possible your ps vita's firmware is corrupt so it would be best to get in touch with sony about repairing/replacing it
