Hello all. I will state this once. I have not at all mishandled the product. I was playing the fifa demo last at 3.30am. as stated I put it in THE OFFICIAL CASE which I purchased separately. I can account for where is has been at all times as I haven't let anyone use it without me being there watching them. I am not a child and I have had many handheld devices.

The only device I have ever dropped was the original ipod touch which completely shattered the outer glass, but the LCD was still working perfect. This was from a 3ft drop screen face down onto concrete.

I woke up at 9.30. At 10.30 I decided to turn it on to play and that is literally what I was greeted with. Some may think I'm a liar or whatever, but I have never abused the system in place to get items replaced. I cannot explain how/why this has happened to me, but it by no means via accidental damage.

Also just to clarify, none if the outer casing is scuffed or marked. The crack is actually the OLED underneath the glass front. and it started from where the front facing camera is situated. The device receives all touch interactions as if nothing is wrong with the screen.

No one is calling you a liar mate. It's just hard to see the damage on that picture, and cracked screens are 99% of the time caused by accidents.

Just take it in and get it swapped, you should have no issues

Does the case squeeze the device at all then? Did it drop whilst inside the case?

Something doesn't add up.

Nope not even dropped whilst in the case, it pretty big, and well padded, so space isnt an issue.

I know something doesnt add up, hence why I am so upset about it.

No need, for reset and its clear that colours are bleeding across from the crack which is hardly visible when no power is going to the system

I don't think it has been caused by a fall or anything like that. I would say the problem is caused by a loose internal connection. The connection could have been loose when you bought it but temperature fluctuations have aggravated the problem. You shouldn't have a problem exchanging it as they will probably just sent it back to Sony.

EDIT: If colours are bleeding, I doubt its a loose connection

my computer desk is in my bed room about 2 feet away from my bed. Only family (mum and dad )in the house.

Maybe your Vita is self harming? You should book it into a clinic.
