Vodaphone topup

Just a quick question, not sure if its been said before as i cant find it.  Do you have to Top up each month £5 ? or does the data roll over?  Tried to check on the vodaphone website but always has an error saying :

Sorry, we are not able to display your balance at the moment.

Please try again later.

Re: Vodaphone topup

I believe that the £5 top up shows a validity date when you check on your Vita. If the amount is £0.00 with a date of say 27th of April that is when it will expire.

If it says £5.00 with the same 27th of April date then I think it will roll over to May.

Im not 100% sure but I put £10.00 on mine when purchased on the 22nd of Feb and mine dropped £5 at the end of March and the other £5 went this month but the 3G still works maybe until the date shown.

Hope this makes sense?

Re: Vodaphone topup

both

a. the vodafone web site

and

b. the whole vodafone idea of a top up having a lifetime ie use it or lose i

are both terrible

I think the website is built by idiots its a miracle when it works

Re: Vodaphone topup

With me ive only topped up twice, 2 months since launch and no it doesnt roll over till the next month, it dissapears completely. Which is a complete RIP OFF, not only that but its 5 quid for 250mb which is dire also.

Vodafone should be ashamed of this current system it really discourages you from topping up, as you feel ripped off, when doing so.

You got a pretty mouth!!!

Re: Vodaphone topup

just pick a free giffgaff sim. u get 500mb with 5 quid per months, and 7.75 for 1G which i'm using now.

preordered the vita with gamestation, and the sim card was not valid at all. went to vodafone and they said they have no idea either, they tried to contact their service centre and no deal. and the most annoying thing is they don't sell seprate sim cards for vita, jesus, a bunch of idiots.

Re: Vodaphone topup

VodaFONE are useless (please note it's phone with an F not ph).

I contacted their customer services because I was going hiking and I wanted to top up 3G again... after struggling on 22nd Feb for ages I finally, somehow, got it topped up.

About 3 weeks later, ran out of credit.

30-ish days after that, I wanted to top up again. Their useless website fails on my PC, on all my browsers, and on my Vita. It's awful. It says "this is not a valid Vodfone number" sometimes, othertimes there's no error message, it just errors.

So I contacted Vodafone telling them I could not top up the sim for my PS Vita on their website, here's my number, please check it.

Their response? Laughable. In fact, a total joke. The guy has NOT A CLUE what he is on about. Here's the response I got from them in an e-mail.

"Thank you for contacting to Vodafone Customer Services.

I do understand your concern and I sincerely apologize for all the inconvenience caused to you. We do send text to our customers stating that you have insufficient balance in your account, so kindly top up your account to keep your number active.

If you do not use your number for certain period of time it may fall into semi quarantine or quarantine state. Semi quarantine is a state when you don’t make any chargeable call or receive call for 90 days and when you actively don’t use your phone for more than 180 days then it falls to Quarantine.

However, if you still don’t use it after the quarantine state, then the number gets recycled and you will not be able to use it again. This means if you fail to use your phone within those 270 days then it gets permanently disconnected.

I trust this information will help you.

Regards,

Vijay Bajarani

Vodafone Customer Services"

Absolutely NONE of the above applies to me. It's not even been 60 days since PS Vita was released!

They are TOTALLY USELESS in my opinion. I may as well ditch the Voda card and get one from another operator. I try to give them my money and their site won't let me and their support fob me off with a total load of irrelevant nonsense.

Utterly, utterly useless. Why Sony partnered with them is beyond me. Their network, their website and their support is an absolute joke.

My mobile is on O2 and I get great support from them and network coverage is great - even on my hijing trip in the middle of nowhere, I was the only one who could make & receive calls. Sony, in future, speak to O2. Vodafone do not give a monkeys about you, or your customers, or their customers.

Re: Vodaphone topup

Vodafone... useless.

Well,. part of the problem was that they knocked the last digit off my number during communications with me somehow.

So I tried again with my actual number... and the website says

"some Business Exception has occured while processing registration/subscription"

I gave up and ordered a GiffGaff sim.

Sony really, really messed up picking Vodafone. Their network coverage is terrible; their top-up system broken, and their customer support atrocious. I did get through to one guy from them who was really good but it took being bounced from pillar to post before I found him. Oh, and a lot of people just given scripted answers.
