You have to always remember that a "welcome" thread is for the long run and not just for the launch of the new console, imagine when we're 7 months into the Vitas lifecycle and this post is still saying "ooooo it's coming soooon".

Don't worry about the lack of forums here in pre-launch, as we find out more about the device there is always an opportunity to add more forums. Vita could indeed rival PS3 for features so there's no reason why the forum can't expand.

PS Vita FTW! Yaster are you serious the NGP could have has much features as the PS3 WOW i am actually amazed. Is there anything the Vita or Sony cant do?

I cant wait to get my hands on one of these, i cant afford or justify one but i will find a way.

The modnation demo at E3 was brilliant, i have never been a fan of creating tracks/characters etc, but its so easy and intuitive on the Vita that i cant wait to give it a blast.

How good does Uncharted 2 look on this. Top job sony, this is the handheld i have been waiting for.

No announcements yet for outside Japan. To be honest I think it's also highly unlikely especially as there is less then three weeks until launch. Even in Japan it only applies to certain games and several of the major publishers aren't even taking part. I would get your hopes up of a similar program here.

The reason I am curious about if we are to receive a similar program is due to the Japanese release of the passport program, and I own a few of the titles supported by the program, for example Persona 3 Portable is on the list, but is currently valued about £25 on the PSN. But with the vita's release I would like to get rid of my old psp if possible but don't want to lose access to some of my favourite games without having to purchase a full digital copy at full price if possible. If there is to be no passport program for us, I will likely end up getting the games again, but not for a long time.

Hopefully we get an equivilant program.
