PS Vita: General Discussion

Wondering what everyones take is on the Vita? What's your favourite feature and how do you think it can be best used in the future?

I think it will be interesting to see the interactivity between Vita and PS3, some new gameplay mechanics could be introduced.

Massive! With the power of the system and the incredible OLED display there are limitless opportunities.

One of the biggest things I champion with the PSP is Remote Play. It truly is an incredible home entertainment feature.

With Apple TV and Google TV starting to slowly take off, Remote Play is a function that needs to be hyped up more.

Kojima's Transfarring solution along with Cloud Storage could really change the way we play certain games. Think of the dailies people do on MMO's or big RPG's, if I could do them via VITA then we are really taking a big leap forward this generation.

Vita comes with something not all PS3s have, a microphone.  Plus it has that party chat thing.

I've been commuting on an almost daily basis the last few years, so being able to move savegames from my PS3 to the online storage, and then to retrieve it to the PS Vita on the train is something which will give me some extra time to actually complete games I've started playing at home (many games remain uncompleted due to time constraints). I hope there will be quite a few titles which support this.

Also, I love the idea of being able to connect PS3 and PS Vita systems for online games. To me the Wipeout demo was cool, but since the 3G connection on the train won't be good enough to handle "realtime" applications, I'm more looking forward to games like risk, chess, and other games which won't die from a intermittent ten second network latency.

The ability to game almost anywhere with the Wifi and 3G built in and GPS navigation so i read somehwere. It can benifit anybody and will dominate the handheld gaming market.

To me it really solves a problem, when I had my PSP I hardy played it becuase if in the house I would always choose PS3 and if out and about I would generally use iPhone as timefiller -

But - being able to continue a game from where I left off in the house and obviously getting the rewarded trophies is just sooo good, I will complete alot more games now I can play a bit at lunchtime etc.

Personally id like the PSN to be fully linked between both PS3 and Vita so we are able to message each other, invite to a party chat/video chat, and add something to the party feature that allows us to talk to ps3 users while playing the vita
