Not likely. Sony could have and would have included it from the beginning as it had already been implemented in the PSP. They left it out on purpose as that's something they don't want people doing with the Vita due to its touch screen, motion control and OLED screen.

If it is indeed an accessory port, I hope Sony or some other 3rd party create a true PS3 like controller attachment accessory that has L2 & R2 buttons and maybe bigger analog sticks.

Note holder Surely will be interesting to inspect when my unit arrives. Perhaps a GPS for the non 3G models since the WiFi only model lacks that feature annoyingly. (Why do we need 3G to just use GPS?) I can't really think of much they could bring to the PS Vita.
