It's not selling well in us or uk either. Remember Japan is the country where handheld is king so what chance realistically does it have here or US??
Console trends iin Japan no longer influence the rest of the world like they used to.
Its not about the handheld itself in japan, its about the games that can be played on it and Japan have a different prefence to games compared to Europe/US. So people in Japan may be less fans of games like uncharted compared to the rest of the world.
The reason why the Vita is not selling as well is that there isnt many games that has their interest compared to the 3DS at this moment, but remember at the same point of the 3DS life, it was going through the same problems as it had a lack of games.
It's not lack of games it the price and we have just dipped back into a resecion.
Once the 3Ds price dropped the sales increased by a big amount.
This lack of games is a a lame excuse, it has more games on it after 2 months than any other console before it.

I never said anything about lack of games, I mentioned that compared to the 3DS there isn't much games for the Japanese market.
I know that the 3DS has been out more and I disagree with much of the rubbish people have been saying about the Vita failing. I just hate it I people compare the Japanese market with the EU/US market. Two different markets, different type of game preferences

bobchickenkfc implied that if the Vita is doing poorly in Japan what chance does it have anywhere else and I replied that Japan doesn't have that influence over worldwide console sales like it used to. A trend in Japan doesn't mean the rest of the world will follow
I don't quite understand why you started going on about the genres of the Vita's games not appealling to Japan in response to me as that's not a on-topic follow on from what I said

Ok, which one would you buy based on price:
Samsung Galaxy Nexus - £429.99
Sony PS Vita WiFi - £229.99
Hmmm... I know which one I would choose!!!

Why should I be worried about carrying things that I use with me?

Easy for me Vita as it is a dedicated games machine and that is why I bought it nothing to do with the Price.

Exactly.
When my phone contract is up I'm not going to think "hmmmm, should I get a new phone or a toaster because its cheaper?". Not really much use if it doesn't do what I need it for.
