Fair enough. ![]()
I think you actually get it now though.
I may be in a minority, but I am one of the people who didn't buy it purely for games, and there is quite a few of us.
I love the games side of the vita, but the fact that i've been using the vita to use the forums, and generally browse the internet, watch films on my ps3 hdd via remote play. Check twitter, facebook and emails goes to show that there is more to the vita than just a games machine.
Imo the vita needs to maximise its potential in this side of the market.
Anyways. I'm off to play everybodys golf, followed by the magnificent 7, recorded on my ps3 via remote play...in bed.![]()

If your getting the Vita for other things that is not gaming their are better option out their that are dedicated to all the other stuff unlike the Vita is.
browser is pants, TBH a mobile phone browser is so much better
I use Netflix
No interest in remote play or the other stuff
But primeraly I use it for games which is what it was designed for.

What if i bought my vita, so that i could have the best of both?
Fair enough if you bought it for games.
Why can't you just accept that the vita IS capable of so much more?
I hate to make this comparison, because I just know you'll hate it, but does anybody think that the ipod Touch is a dedicated mp3 player, that just so happens to have apps?
To be fair, it probably was to start with, but just look how successful it is now. And it's not just though its music playing abilities. I've got my fingers firmly crossed that the vita will be just as good.
Both of my daughters have ipods. I'd say 10-15% of their use is music, the rest of the time is spent messaging, tweeting, gamjng, facetime, skype, netflix and so on.
Vita is in the market with these devices whether you like it or not. People are comparing it with these devices even if you're not.
I do agree with you crusty. The vita is a games machine primarily. But some of us would like to see vita live up to its full potential, and in this market games won't be enough (IMO)
