PS Vita: General Discussion

Hi, Just wondered what battery life people are getting out of their vita charge! Mine doesn't seem to last that long, but I have been downloading demo's. Don't know if it makes a difference.

First few charge cycles, it was between 2 and 3 hours. Now, with wi-fi off, im getting consistently 5 to 6 hours of play

Yes, I'm getting about 2 hours. Shocking what wifi must use up then.

well, i play FIFA online too, and i can get about 4hours play with wifi on, so i think it depends on what the system is doing, what background tasks, etc.

I get about 4 hours on mine, playing uncharted and fifa, but i turn the brightness down slightly as mine was full by default.

Mine seems to last ages! I only charge it every 2-3 days and I play it roughly 2-3 hours each day.
I have brightness at full, 3G and Wifi switched on. The only thing I've actually turned off is Bluetooth.

Oh, and another thing. I switch my Vita fully off when I know I'm not going to use it for a while (like going shopping/to the College). I left it on standby, or sleep mode if you want to call it that, and the battery went from full to half full in the space of about 9 hours...

oh yeah, as Baz said, i fully switch mine off when its not in use, brightness min, muted, bluetooth off. the only alterations i make is the wifi for online play.

4.5  hours here with wifi & bluetooth off and screen brightness lowered. It's been recharged around 5 times thus far and I had mine upon release. Always turn mine off when not in use. Takes a good 2 hours to recharge fully though ,using the cradle.

It seems to depend on the game too

Ridge Racer, Super Stardust and Uncharted get me 4-5 hours but Everybody's Golf seems to get me 7-8

Whatever ClapHandz are doing with EG should be followed by other developers as they seem to get far more lifespan out of the Vita's battery
