does anyone else feel robbed by sony

ive almost had it with sony now, no remote play for ps3 games with no info on when we will, funny how videos of people playing killzone and BF3 were being shown before release to suck us all in then after release nothing. also there are hardly any games coming out for it either, all sony seem interested in is selling us old games that we already bought 15 years ago, i paid £250 to get this vita to play ps1 games and psp games, its absolute s**t, most of the games already out r crap except the ones that are ported from the ps3 therefore spending more money on games weve already paid for anyway.

Re: does anyone else feel robbed by sony

I wouldn't say I feel robber'd, No.

I would say I'm dissappointed with the titles after launch and any new information on new game software/Apps for the vita is now scarce. I'm hoping we don't have to wait until E3 for game announcements either...that usually means ther months, even years away from release with the exception of the odd few

I do regret early adopting.... but this is exactly how I felt a month after buying a PS3

Do I regret buying a PS3 now...No

I'm hoping after a few years and if the question of " Does anyone regret buying a PSVita"  in the shape of a topic arise. Hopefully a pattern will emerge and my answer will be No.

I must have missed WipEout 2048, Uncharted Golden Abyss, Escape Plan, Everybody's Golf, Little Deviants and Modnation Racers when they came out 15 years ago... Damn. I feel ripped off now!

I feel really ripped off when I look at the £260 3G + wifi, Bluetooth enabled, HD, OLED, dual touch, dual camera, six axis, gyroscopic, GPS enabled, backwards compatible, future proofed, quad core marvel of technology I purchased on release and have played with daily. It makes me sick.

Not sure why you think remote play for PS3 games was promised as it never has been and most likely never will be available. Those remote play demonstrations were just that tech demos and Sony has never said or implied that it would be supported. You seem to think that all Sony has to do is provide an update for it. It doesn't work that way. Each individual game has to be updated by its respective developer/publisher. That's not going to happen so I wouldn't count on it if I were you. I think you seriously need to rethink on your expectations and what you think you're entitled to or otherwise sell your Vita and move on. Sony has no obligation to support games from older systems and if they do then see it as a bonus. The Vita's primary function is to play native Vita games.

To be fair to the original poster...There were many reports in November of "PS3 firmware to enable Vita Remote Play for all games" from what some may consider as credible sources.

But as you have stated... nothing official from Sony

apart from this g.enital teaser

Re: does anyone else feel robbed by sony

yea, thats the point. ps vita has a very powerful hardware system. but, the thing is, its been half year now since vita's first release of JP and HK. and sony couldn't even manage to make the flash player available to us. or they can simply give us a youtube app as well. but they didn't . japan even got nico nico video apps a hell long time ago.

and talking about the flash player, they promised us they would give us a html5 browser, but, did we get it? no!

and they promised us we will get skype on the vita at the release, and did we get it? no!

and also, the music unlimited app sucks as hell. you could only have ur wifi connection on even you are already connected with 3G to use that app. and whats the point to using a wifi in home and having an app like that? i could just use my PC, or itunes to do it with a much faster and easier way.

i was expecting the april firmware update, and we got it yesterday, but what did we get?

– A “Notification Alert” option will be added to Settings, so you can toggle alerts on or off

– “After 10 minutes” will be added to the time options under Power Save Settings

– An Arrow icon will now appear when PS Vita finds new activities in the LiveArea

 – Caps Lock will be supported in the On Screen Keyboard

power save setting adding 10 mins? come on, whats the difference with 5mins and 10mins? we need unlimited to download games or other things.

an arrow icon apear on the liveare? who the hell cares really?!

a notification alert? well, at lease i could't find it anywhere on my setting menu, so i cant comment

and caps lock, is the only a bit, just a bit useful at this update.

come on, sony, these 4 functions really needs 97 mb? i know you are busy with fighting hackers, but if you not gonne make the vita better, no one would left with t he vita at all, and whats the point after all that?

PS: if there isn't another update in april that really makes a difference, i would do the same as lots of other ppl did, simply sell it.

Re: does anyone else feel robbed by sony

Nope.

If you had done your research like most normal people who are spending £200 or more you would see what would be avalible.

If you did that research you would see it was all their in black and white!

Below is a Signature

Sony are stabbing their loyal family customers in the back - We have 3 PS3s and 3 PSPs all on the same IP address and all registered with Sony. Why can't we use them at the same time anymore?

Children should not be heard and only speak when spoken to. Robbed? Best thing to do is sell it and stop moaning on forums? Is it so difficult to make your own mind up? Is it worth £200 or not? Simple question really?

People have a right to be annoyed at Sony.

They showed off Killzone 3 be played via Remote Play, giving people the "impression" that PS3 games would be playable on PS Vita!

Low and behold KZ3 doesn't (are any PS3 game) work on PS Vita.

They downright LIED and MISLED people with false info.

If Sony aren't going to support PS Vita remote Play, with any worthwhile features (completely USELESS now) then REMOVE it!

Not sure how long a year is on your planet, but here on Earth it's been 3 months and 2 weeks since JP/HK launch.

Didn't read the rest of your post - can't take you seriously after such an elementary error.
