Just curious how long to charge 1st time use. just trying to plan out the rest of my day. when ever it arrives as ive lost my morning already and coming into losing my afternoon lol

I got 2 hours out of it,Straight out of the box.It turned off and it took about 2 1/5 hours (til the orange light went out)

Manual says 2hrs 40 for a mains charge.

do you need to charge it before turning on? cant see anyting about charging?

It already has a good amount of charge so yes you can turn it on without charging further. That said I plugged mine in from the start. I then set it up and updated the software. I then connected it to my PS3 to transfer all the content I had downloaded yesterday.

how long did u charge it for then? just i want to pop out to buy a memory card and game and its just arrived i dont know wether to charge it whilst im out. or just drain it first go and then give it a full charge.

i got about 90 mins before it ran out so i popped it on charge and the amber light went of about 25 mins later

doesnt seem long enough but its still got full battery after another hours play so far

You don't have to drain the battery. You can just leave it plugged in to charge whilst you pop out.

just got your message. ive played it untill its drained. now im charging whilst its off. im OCD about battery life lol. i always think u have to drain and then do a massive charge whilst its off to get best battery life. is this not the case for vita then? because i want to go on it now but i have it off charging. how do you know when its full orange light goes off?
