I got a dispatch email & tracking number. The problem now is that DPD have confirmed that the number is invalid, they checked my postcode & confirmed they have not received anything from play to be delivered today or any other day.

Play are saying they have dispatched which I don't believe to be true. I'm not that fussed about it not arriving today, would have been nice but I'll survive without it. My gripe is that I don't know if it's even coming this week. Play refuse to do anything for 3 working days.

I love how play have 'In Stock' on their site and those who order now will probably get theirs quicker than the rest of us who pre-ordered and are left waiting to see if play can figure out whats happening

I got that same speech. They're trying to blame DPD's system & said that they can confirm it's on it's way to me??? How they can do that without tracking it I don't know. Apparently they contacted DPD whilst I was on hold & they said it's being delivered but when I contact them myself I'm told that they have no parcel being delivered to me.

I forgot to mention that he said if I had not received the parcel by 5pm to call them back and he would check where the parcel is. He already put me on hold to check where it was before and he told me that it was dispatched just before 5pm yesterday and DPD came to collect it.

Play have no idea what's happening or they're lying to customers. Either way it's not great! Supervisors are refusing to speak to customers on the phone so there must be a fair amount of people in the same boat.

I'd be happy if they told me it was coming tomorrow & they F'd up, at least I'd know it was coming

All one needs is half a brain to realize that Play.com delibrately lied about delivery on the release date, although they didn't enough stock for all the orders they took, just so they can sell more.

 

From the comments I've read on here, its ridiculous that they keep telling people different things when you call them. If you are going to lie about something, at least do it in a consistent and organised manner.

 

Its my very first experience with Play.com who were recomended by Sony (PlayStation) in an email they sent to me about pre-ordering the Vita. I hope they are taking note of all the negative comments about Play.com.

 

That's the first and last time I'll ever shop with them.

On 20th Feb i also got an email saying play had despatched my pre-ordred for fallout new vegas which is supposed to out on 24th.

 

They managed to get that done right but bggr up the one that really matters and costs a bomb . lol
