I just phoned play and spoke to a superviser. She said the warehouse had confirmed that all VITA pre-orders had gone from the warehouse and are with DPD. ???? Guess we shall just have to wait and see. They really should have been more organised and started giving them to the courier monday.
If only shopto had a bundle with a memory card, i would probably be playing it already. They delivered Uncharted yesterday and that was via royal mail, good old shopto.

I guess Play.com played some of us. A few friends of mine are just waiting to try out my PS Vita before deciding if they wanna buy it or not. I'm definitely not gonna recommend Play.com to them now.
I believe their stock levels are not enough and so they had to lie about the delivery date, knowing that most people would wanna have their Vitas on the release date. This way, they get to sell more units.

Good to see Customer Services are giving a consistant message then - from no hope to some hope! What a bunch of muppets - never using Play again, a waste of a day off work.

Just called Play. I am not happy and will never use them again for something which I expect on launch day, especially when they lie to you on emails.
I asked has it been dispatched yet - knowing full well it hasn't. The reply I got was no, it will be dispatched in the next 24 hours. I said that I ordered it in good time andt hat I got a email on Monday saying it will be handed over to DPD for delivery today. She said that's not happened with yours. So I said, if I went to Amazon I'd have it now, or could order it now for delivery tomorrow, can I cancel.
"Well I can request cancellation but it's not definite."

So I said, will it be despatched today.
"Hopefully"

I'm off work tomorrow, if it doesn't come by then I will seriously complain. But looking at above, what if they are with DPD and we don't have tracking numbers. The driver could have a field day stealing Vita's. Afterall, if someone signs for it...

My tracking number is not appearing on the DPD website since 3pm yesterday. I rang dpd and they said that no parcels have been registered with that number or on my postcode. So I rang play.com and received the exact same information that everyone else has got except the guy INSISTED that I would have to wait 3-5 working days despite getting the email saying that the vita should arrive for today.
There is a loophole in their policy because they automatically changed the delivery service to something that was supposed to be better. Although this was nice of them to offer a free upgrade, they only had to offer this upgrade because they knew that customers would not get their order. You have a right to request a refund as they have breached policy and changed things that you did not request.
If people can ring play.com and explain to them that YOU understand that THEY have breached policy then surely something will happen.

Checked my bank, they took payment on 20th but still nothing from them just 'processing in warehouse' on my account page .. i was going to check if game had any 3g's up for grabs but ofcourse play have taken their money, seemingly before sending goods out.
What does ‘Processing in warehouse’ mean?
