Re: ps vita stuck on nat type 3

I've just found a fix for this firstly you will need your isp's PPPOE password which they will give you no problem just ring them.Next on your Vita go to settings , Network Wi-Fi Settings , Click on whichever connection your on , Next click on Advanced Settings, Next click on ip address settings now enter the pppoe password the same in the two boxes and the password is case sensitive, cluck ok and that's it,Now simply do a connection test and your now on Nat Type 1.

It worked for you..... Right. My vita never need anything like this done, that worked for me..... See the problem.

Need more than one person to try this to determine if it is having the desired effect.

Also, why would you put the password in both boxes when one is for 'username'?

Re: ps vita stuck on nat type 3

in the end i bought a new router got nat type 2 straigh away no hassle. shame it came to me buying a new router but i exhausted most options. i rang the vita helpline they gave me ports for it and asked me to ring bt to put them in. spent 1 hour on the phone with bt the guy was useless. made it worse in the end. by the end of the convo he said i have reset everything back to normal you must ring sony now.

1) he let upnp off and placed vita in DMZ i wasnt even able to connect to the internet where as i could before i rang him.

i had to change back. what a waste of time.

anyways ive got rid of the HUB2 and got myself a new one. works now. good luck people.

PPPOE settings will not work with all ISP's if your ISP only supports PPPOA the only option people have if UPnP isn't doing the job properly is port forwarding or a DMZ or an alternative router as a last resort.
