Hi every one does any one know if the psvita is limited to the place you buy it ie area specific

The console itself is not region locked, If you buy a 3G model outside the EU though it will be tied to the operator whom is given with it.

Games themselves are not region locked either, though to play online your game, online pass and PSN ID must all be from the same region

As what Sony announced, the console itself is not region locked, and so as the game.

But one thing should be noticed, those games with network pass cards are region locked. Well, maybe I should say, they are half-locked. You can play any game card in any console, but, the pass can only be identified with the PSN account and the game edition that come from the same region with the pass.

A liitle example, I just met days before,

I bought the PAL Wipeout 2048, and found can not active the online game mode cause I have a HK PSN account. And when I bought a new pass from the  HK PSN, I found it''s still unworkable, cause the game is PAL and the pass is for HK.

So that;s what I mean above, it's half-locked, you can only play part of the game if you don't make the game, pass and your account in the same region.

Thats really terrible for those who travels a lot.

I must say that is a little silly, if you bought the pass for the correct region of your PSN account then it really should work with any region game.

You would think they would even WANT you to do that as you are almost buying the game twice.

but then sony are smart and now giving codes to different parts so in sum ways if u get say reality fighters from us and try to enter that psn code it will not work
