re Wipeout 2048, Vodafone has just told me that:

Vodafone has just informed me that unless you bought your Vita from them directly, you are not eligible for the Wipeout 2048 offer.

The ASA will have a field day...

Re: re Wipeout 2048, Vodafone has just told me that:

If that truly is the case and in Sony's words it isn't then Vodafone have really messed up considering how many including myself who bought it elsewhere have already recieved it for free. As far as I'm aware Sony has never said you have to buy the Vita from Vodafone to be eligible for the offer.

I know that's not true, got mine from Amazon, top-up, and within 30mins got the code for Wipeout

Probably just trying to sell you a Vita from them.

Re: re Wipeout 2048, Vodafone has just told me that:

To be honest it's a typical case of customer support not knowing what they are talking about. Besides, what difference would it make to Vodafone whether or not you purchased the system with them? You will need to top up £5 on the Vodafone sim card regardless...

Sorry but I understand you've probably been given the wrong information but that doesn't mean you should be insulting the customer service reps. They are either reading from a script of passing on information from higher up.

Point taken - although she did say that I "should check the facts before buying"
