I'm with virgin and pc gets 51 meg wired, ps3 gets 14mb wireless and vita 12mb

Used to be with sky, after crappy speeds from them I check them multiple times daily now, somewhat paranoid

What connection speed are on with Virgin ? Is that your typical average download speed ?

I don't get why Sony would make a portable console that cannot bypass NAT restrictions.  Surely it should be designed so you can game in Starbucks if you want, not somewhere you can stick it in a DMZ or that are likely to have uPNP enabled.

Even more puzzling is that I get NAT Type 2 on my router also with uPNP disabled and not in the DMZ.  So why is it working for me and not others?

I do however have the problem with WiFi dropping or the Vita suddenly being unable to access PSN despite still being connected.  The latter also happens on the cell network, though usually when I only have a 2G or Edge signal.

I had the bt home hub 2 and it was NAT type 3 and no location services working. I switched to bt home hub 3 and now it's nat type 2. The location services still don't work but I've tried it at my parents house (using home hub 3) and they work fine. Must be something to do with where I live. Annoying but at least I know its not my router or vita. Found the bt homehub 3 on eBay for £25.
